A doctor can tell from smelling it on a patient, but he may think that the person might live with or be around a smoker. If he is perceptive, he may smell it on your breath. An xray or scan will show lung damage from smoking, but it will not show smoke. Ive heard of a doctor that once showed cloudy spots in an xray to a patient and told him that was smoke. Of course, it wasnt smoke, lungs just look cloudy in xrays. If you really smoked that much, woudnt your parents have smelled it already? I would not worry about it.

I hardly doubt it. A pack every week, hardly creates a drastic change. Ive smoked half a pack everyday for the past years, and my dentist still hasnt even mentioned smoking, my teeth are white as ever. And if they, by some chance, can tell that you smoke.. I highly doubt they are allowed to tell your parents, especially if you ask them not to. But dont bring it up, unless heshe asks if you smoke. And again, they will not be able to tell. Your teeth will turn yellow from drinking iced tea, faster then they will from smoking.

Im years old. I have multiple cysts in both breasts, they dont go away, they are very painful. The doctor said I shouldnt worry, yet again, he has mis diagnosed me for something else before....Could they possibly be dangerous?

im in the same situation with fibrocystic breasts basically means breasts prone to developing benign lumps. its so hard not to be anxious about them all the time. i had a big lump in one breast for like months before it started to shrink. did your doc say he would aspirate drain them if you wanted? i was given that option. they basically numb your skin and poke a needle in and drain the cyst. i opted not to, but if it hadnt gone away after a whole year i think i would have, because its really annoying. brbrive asked multiple doctors about this and whether having fibrocystic breasts puts you at increased risk of breast cancer and all of them have said no, not at all. online sources say the same thing. it seems like we just have to deal with annoying lumps and the fear every time we get checked out that one might be a bad lump. sorry i cant give you a clearer answer, but the short of it is, they are not dangerous, just a pain literally.

Im the same way as you, the best advice I could say is take all these negative issues going on in your life and try to form them into motivation to get a job, and to make friends just a smile be friendly. If you show your always depressed then people will get the wrong vibe, I know I do it all the time. Dont let anyone discourage you just keep trying. Its hard I know because I self pity everyday in my past. I suggest if you can even go to a therapist to help you seek your inner problems and get out of such a hurtful past.
