Question
Does anyone use a pay as you go phone?I?
I have Atampt and i have a razor and a couple weeks ago i dropped it and the screen just went black. I was wondering instead of paying a crap load of money for a new phone, if i could get one of those pay as you go phones? i dont quite know how it works though.
Answer
Well, I converted a regular phone to a pay as you go phone with TMobile. It worked great but I didnt use it very much. If you are going to use it as your only phone and you use your phone a lot, you are going to end up spending a lot of money.brbrIf you are looking at pay as you go phones, check the rate per minute, the cost to have the service, and how long your minutes will last. Some providers charge you or more everyday even if you dont use the phone. Some charge a fee for every call. Some providers will have those prepaid minutes expire after , or days.brbrIf you already had a phone, take your last bill and add up all the minutes you used. Even if they were free before, assume that you will have to pay for them now. Then, check for connection charges and stuff like that with the prepaid service you are thinking of. Add all that stuff together and see if it is cheaper than buying a new phone with a monthly plan. For most people, the regular plan is better than the prepaid service.brbrOh, are you talking about replacing your regular phone with a to go phone but using your same plan? Well, then I dont know. You should probably make sure that the to go phone is made by the same company as the phones that your provider uses. I actually never thought about doing that.
